Meet the Courtyard Gardens Family

Gregory “Skip” Gozzo — 

Director of All Operations and Chairman of the Board of Directors

Gregory “Skip” Gozzo, founder of Gozzo Estate Homes, has an exceptional past in designing and developing high-end luxury estates. Gozzo is recognized as one of America’s leading estate builders. He has developed in multiple golf course and yachting communities across the exclusive area of Jupiter, Florida and on the world-renowned island of Palm Beach, Florida. In particular, Gozzo Estate Homes is recognized as one of the most successful and influential residential developing companies in the history of Admirals Cove, the prestigious Country Club and yachting community located in Jupiter, Florida. In the 1990s, Gozzo took his company out west to the heights of Aspen, Colorado where he continued his building expertise and ingenuity.

For the past 35 years, Gozzo has consistently received regional and national awards for his work. These awards include Prism, Aurora, and Best in American Living honors to mention a few. Gozzo was also named one of the top ten luxury builders in America by The National Association of Home Builder’s most prestigious trade publications five different times. Additionally, the estates of Gozzo Estate Homes have been featured in local, regional, and nationwide publications. They have graced the covers of Luxury Florida Homes, Pinnacle, Professional Builder, Audio & Video Interiors, Palm Beach Illustrated, Florida Design, the Sun Sentinel newspaper and the Palm Beach Post among others. Gozzo Estate Homes’ imaginative style of architectural design and detailing has also been featured on VH1 “Celebrity Real Estate Splurges” in 2007 as one of the top four most luxurious estates offered for sale in the United States.

With meticulous attention to every detail Gozzo, prides himself on his exceptional skill in first locating the most unique trophy properties and then carefully crafting and constructing them into the most exquisite residential residences available. A builder in Palm Beach County since 1985, Gozzo has built over 60 custom luxury estates resulting in sales of over 500 million dollars.

Dr. George C. Peck Senior 


George C. Peck Sr. MD is a retired Surgeon with over 50 years of experience in owning and operating multiple assisted living/memory care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, and medical office buildings in New Jersey and South Florida. Dr. Peck Sr. wrote numerous medical textbooks, scientific journal articles and lectured throughout the world. As a result of his talent and reputation, Dr. Peck Sr. was elected and served as the President of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in the healthcare industry.

Jonathan E. Gozzo —

Managing Partner

Jonathan E. Gozzo earned a degree in Finance at Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business. Jonathan Gozzo has been developing residential and senior housing real estate for the family business and has gained a deep understanding for the construction process and how to complete developments using a critical path. Jonathan Gozzo plays a leading role in all acquisitions and financings undertaken by Courtyard Gardens’ expansion into new markets. His investment insight and strategic planning is a decisive factor in establishing Courtyard Gardens as a major player within the senior housing industry.

Gregory J. Gozzo —

Managing Partner

Gregory J. Gozzo earned an artium baccalaureus in the field of Psychology from Harvard University. While attending Harvard University, Gregory Gozzo lettered on the men’s varsity ice hockey team. Gregory Gozzo plays a vital role in the construction management, scheduling, coordination and development process.  He is also responsible for the supervision of day-to-day operations along with overseeing ongoing business operations within the development of new facilities. Gregory Gozzo has been developing commercial and senior housing real estate for the family business since graduating from college .

Steven R. Mellion  — 

Executive Director

Steve earned his master’s degree in Business and Healthcare Administration from the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Business and Medicine program in Health Care Administration and has an undergraduate degree from SUNY Stony Brook in Organizational Psychology.  

Over his 43-year career he earned awards and public recognition for his ability to lead communities in culture change and service through inspiring passion and compassion to those whom are of service; our Members.  Steve wrote a NIMH grant that established teaching curriculum for the training of health care administrators that continues to be used at the University of Wisconsin School of Business.

A recognized pioneer in establishing one of the nation’s first community mental health centers in Trenton NJ, he administered a State Psychiatric Hospital, established the first two psychogeriatric Nursing Centers for the State of NJ, as well as group homes, day care programs to provide innovative models of service delivery and community reintegration.  He gained tremendous public accolades for the turnaround and construction of a county hospital to create the Mercer County Geriatric Center.  He served as the COO of Seaview Hospital for New York City Health and Hospital Corp.  Relocating to Florida in 1992, he earned a reputation in the Health Care business community for turnaround and development of skilled nursing and assisted living communities in the establishment as well as the design of memory care programs.  

Steve resides in Wellington, with his wife Janice, his son Steven, along with their two cats, Pumpkin and Spooky. 

Ina S. Trueheart —

Sales & Marketing Director

Ina S. Trueheart earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Affairs with a minor in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island.

Over the last 31 years, Ina has worked in sales and marketing in some capacity. She found a “home” in senior living 10 years ago and credits much of her success to relationship-based selling in her past communities. In addition, much of her success has been achieved from having achieved a solid understanding of the senior marketplace and in marketing through philanthropy. Ina has been a board member for the Palm Beach County Partnership for Aging and the Boynton Beach Chamber Health Care Council, as well as an active member and team captain for the Walk to end Alzheimer’s. Ina has been named chairwoman for the 6th annual Brain Bowl in 2020 to benefit the FAU Louis & Anne Green Memory & Wellness Center, the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Community Care and other local nonprofit organizations that committed to helping families impacted by Alzheimer’s Disease or a related neurocognitive disorder.

Ina is originally from Connecticut and has been a south Florida resident since 2003. She resides in east Boynton Beach and has 2 wonderful grown children.
